Guest Speaker - Barry Miles
Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals (ASWA)

Barry is a retired History teacher and was first associated with ASWA in the 1980s. During the last 25 years he has preached in churches on a whole range of Christian issues and doctrines, but increasingly his speciality has become Christian thinking on animal rights/welfare. Over the years he has spoken on Christianity and animals at a youth conference and two secular animal rights groups as well as in churches. He has also had articles published in the Christian press on the subject, including a major one in The Church of England Newspaper on animal experimentation. The focus of Barry's talk at our Centenary Pets service was 'Animals in War' - the theme of Animal Welfare Sunday this year.
