Sunday School

Children are specially welcome at St. Wilfrid’s

We provide a happy, safe and fun environment for our younger members to nurture their understanding and interest in God and his Son Jesus Christ.

We accept children from the age of 3 to 11 and parents of any age!

We meet every Sunday at 10:30am in the Church Hall (except the third Sunday in the month which is a Family Eucharist.

Our focus through reading and craftwork is stories from the bible.

On the third Sunday of the month there is a special Family Eucharist at which all children, including the children and staff from Nyewood Infant and Junior School are present and contribute to leading our service.

Toddler Corner

This area at the back of the church is for pre school children and has toys and books for them to sit and enjoy during the Services.

Colouring books and puzzles are available each week for children to use during Services.

Care of Children

If you are a parent, or looking after a young child, you may feel anxious about bringing them to a service. Be assured, children are especially welcome as part of our worshipping community.

Child protection

Everyone who works with children here at St Wilfrid’s has been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. We follow strict diocesan guidelines and have specialist advisers available.   Further information can be obtained from our Sunday School Leader or Child Protection Officer.
